Yet another terminal shutdown, this time BWI

http://www.wtop.com/?nid=86&sid=2804345

A terminal was shut down at BWI Marshall Airport Tuesday evening after a woman got past security without being fully screened.

Oh what a secure world we live in, when we're protected from people carrying hand grenade shaped lighters and purses with replica ornamental guns sewn onto them aboard aircraft.

Meanwhile TSA sports failure rates of up to 70% when it comes to detecting the real W, E, and I things. x 1,000

Great. Wonder if I'm going to encounter more stupidity vigilance on tomorrow's trip out of BWI because of today's breach?

How many more of these "person got past security without being properly screened so we had to shut down the whole terminal" stories will it take to convince Congress that TSA is an agency which is incapable of fulfilling its primary mandate, keeping WEI off planes, while at the same time is wasting billions of dollars on unproven, dangerous, abusive, and completely un-Constitutional screening methodologies?

I'm guessing, none, because Congress really doesn't CARE, they only call hearings once in a while to make us THINK they care. Congressional Theater. It's almost as reassuring as Security Theater, and far more costly.

Bolding mine: Don't you mean "how many of these we screwed up by not following our own basic procedures?"
