I have not flown in a few years.
I will be soon since my family is in Sweden.

I am kind of wondering about TSA questions about what I do.

I do counsel for free for people to loose weight and be healthy.

However Lax have mostly way overweight female screeners.

I dont believe that my answers will do good with them. So how/what i do?!

I cant/dont want to lie. But I would imagine they get angry and let me have a bad time.

Thanks for any answers.

I recommend flying out of a different airport. LAX seems to be a magnet for very serious complaints, and they have the ionizing radiation scanners with no privacy filters. A good friend of mine was strip-searched by TSA at LAX. Screener Thedala Magee raped Amy Alkon at LAX. Other incidents there include a very high incidence of thefts and agents arrested for drug smuggling.

Find another airport; Burbank and Orange County are nearby. Check out screening arrangements at www.tsastatus.net before you go. Your best bet to avoid trouble is to find another airport that you can get to which doesn't have the strip-search scanners. Terminal 1 in Burbank doesn't seem to have scanners. In Orange County, there are scanners at checkpoint C, but you can go through scanner-free checkpoint B and walk back to C.

From these regional airports, you can fly to a larger airport that will get you to sweden and with a bit of investigation, you can reassure yourself before you leave that you won't have to go through a scanner and that makes your chance of a patdown extremely small if you don't have medical issues.

Wirelessly posted (BlackBerry9550/5.0.0.1015 Profile/MIDP-2.1 Configuration/CLDC-1.1 VendorID/105)

"I help people lose weight. But as I SEE A.S.Ses as having no conscience, I'm afraid I consider them subhuman and they are not welcome at my practice despite (look around at the other A.S.Ses at this part) the obvious potential market for my services.".

You should tell the truth. But you don't have to tell every detail in every conversation.

If you say "I'm a personal trainer" or "I'm a dietician" or whatever description most accurately applies to you, and stop there, you've given a complete answer to the question. Anyone who wants to take offense --- well, frankly, they'll find a reason to take offense no matter what you say.

A short, accurate statement should suffice.

Yeah, LAX was the airport that gave my wife a patdown because they needed to do a bag check. At least it was a pre gate-rape type patdown.

I've had the opposite experience at LAX twice.

Involuntary medical 'opt-out', so I not only got a grope, I got a complete bag unpack-n-swab. Not sure why my inability to assume and hold the position meant my bags were suspect.

I rest my case about LAX being a strange vortex of TSA torment, given the comments above. I am flying out of Orange County (SNA) soon even though the flights are much less convenient and connecting instead of non-stop. I hope I never have to go to LAX ever again.

I'm convinced the LAX TSA hires people from Watts, Compton and South-Central LA who have done time. I've never seen so many thugs working for them at any other airport.

Last year, I had a connection there, and I got to watch a TSO get a very intimate pat-down from his co-worker. I stared at him the entire time with a gigantic grin on my face. He looked like he was about to come shank me.

I had the same experience.

It's been 1.5 years since I've started a trip at LAX. I've flown from BUR and SNA since the TSA is far more pleasant, and the airports are much nicer. If AS gets a Pre-Check lane at LAX, I might give it a shot, but until then, SNA is the place for me.

I had what felt to me like a physical/sexual assault at LAX Terminal One. Do not allow them to use the private room! Should they need to assault me again, it's going to out in the open where everyone can it and I can vocalize what they are doing. I will also request a Law Enforcement Officer to witness as well as the TSA ranking manager and the Terminal Station manager I will not be assaulted again while hidden away nor will I remain silent. Sunlight is the best disinfectant.

And do keep a careful eye on all your personal belongings. I had my heart medicine stolen from my bag as I as being assaulted. LAX Terminal One has a pretty bad reputation, I've discovered.

A few years ago, a ring of TSA employees and cleaners were stealing medicines, jewelry and small electronics from carry on baggage as it was "screened" in the X-ray machines. This was in the news and arrests were made.

I've never been asked my occupation, but that doesn't mean TSA doesn't/won't ask.

You say you counsel people for free. I assume you're saying the people you counsel don't pay you, but do you collect a paycheck?

If it's a volunteer position, I think you can honestly/safely say you're unemployed or retired. I have a volunteer position that sometimes consumes 40 hours or more of my workweek, but I would never provide that as an answer to "what do you do?" unless I was in the middle of volunteering when asked.

If it is a paid position, I think you can say I'm a counselor/personal coach/motivational coach, because you are. It's a non-confrontational answer
that's unlikely to raise suspicions.

I did not ask this question for what to say about what I do and dont do.

It was more that I am very fit and look younger for my age. My airport is LAX where most female screeners and very over weight.
I have had very bad attitude from them in the past. And now since they have more"power" I am kind of wondering how this females would like to hear that i do help people to loose weight. No pay check for that.
I also am now a care giver for an alzeheimers lady. My pay check.
If/when I travel I have to quit that job.

If they ask you "what do you do for a living", you can simply respond "I'm a caregiver for a senior citizen". The statement is truthful and accurate. No need to bring up your other life activities, if you're concerned about retaliation.
