I figure the easiest holiday travel tip would be 'Stay home and cower under your bed. There might be bad people out there who want to terrorize you. I'm from the government and it's the truth.'

Christmas Crackers: Not the kind you eat, but the kind that “cracks” when you pull it apart. They’re really cool and a part of a lot of people’s Christmas traditions, but they’re prohibited on aircraft.
When it comes to the TSA, there is no Sanity Clause.

Can't blame that one on the TSA. Christmas crackers are prohibited by FAA regulations due to the chemicals used to create the "crack" which are often similar to chemicals used in cap guns

This year, the toys in the ones I purchased for my family included whistles and harmonicas. My nieces and nephews loved them. Their parents not so much...
