The scary thing is, I read all the way through the article before I realized it was satire.

I read the first paragraph and immediately sensed something was wrong:

A Wyoming man walked through a TSA checkpoint with a raging erection on Tuesday, daring TSA officers and even fellow passengers to give him an invasive pat down.

And as if he would have to go through 4 times to get a pat down... in real life, they would've brawled to see who could conduct the pat down.

Yeah the "raging" bit caught my attention, but I just figured that journalistic standards are so low these days...

I think this part really clued me in
Allbright, a 14-year veteran of airport security, announced his retirement shortly after Kelvin boarded the plane. “I’m going home to take a shower and make love to my wife,” said Allbright as he got into his car. “This job isn’t for me. I’ve suddenly lost my passion for touching strangers.”

The funny/sad thing is, after reading some UK tabloids over the years, there are periodicals out there that this has a high probabilty of actually making "print", as sincere journalism.

Personally, I believe the WSJ/NYT should have Page 3 girls. American journalism needs a good shaking up...

Ya know, it wouldn't be that hard (no pun intended) for a man to give himself a pretty sizable erection right before walking up to the TSA checkpoint. Just think about the right things...

My imagination's good, but not that good. As soon as I see the giant man a$$ coming towards me to do a rubdown, game over.

The Trentonian (Trenton NJ's tabloid paper - astoundingly, Trenton still has 2 papers under different ownership!) used to have a feature similar to the Page 3 girls. Because nothing says 'responsible journalism' like Jersey shore tarts in grayscale.
