Interesting Luggage Tampering Video

This is a plug for a commercial product, but the video is informative:

Interesting, and that's about it; this "problem" has been well known for years, and unfortunately, if someone really wants to get into your bag, they probably can. The locks, wraps, seals, whatever, are all just deterrents to the quick grab-and-go thief.

I'll have to look into this. Of course, if you fly in the U.S., you can pretty much guarantee that it will be broken every time, but it would still be useful evidence that might be worth $7 a pop.

Even if the TSA doesn't leave a love note, you'll know:

Is the plastic wrap job in the video done with ordinary store wrap? I thought in Schiphol, Netherlands they actually shrink-wrapped it with heat, so tampering absolutely would be seen. I still think that all countries should not only allow such shrink-wrapping, but even encourage it for security. But with the U.S. government mindset and the war on drugs, it will be a long time for that.

Might be kind of like home security systems though, you know? They'll tend to go for an easier target to get the job done, rather than a challenge. I heard somewhere that the little home security stickers you put on your house were some of the best selling security items in home security.
