There is a documentary on the Iraq war based on Wikileaks records that shows US military there continued a terroristic campaign after Abu Ghraib. So it seems to me that we have terrorists in and out of uniform. Really impossible to predict who is most dangerous.

Are these the same "nationally recognized experts" who say that a little dose of radiation is good for you? ;) and (bolding mine) that is a two way street ;)

Interesting comments. The biggest complaint was that TSA's one-size-fits-all approach to screening lacked common sense, especially when it came to white, anglo-saxons because, after all, there was no such thing as a Norwegian terrorist (then came the Oslo shootings). The Israeli screening model has been lamented in here as the model TSA should strive to become.

This concept is so new that it's still in the development stage. It is supposed to deliver what I thought people in this forum cried for: focusing screening where it needs to be focused and not focusing so much on people such as little old ladies in wheelchairs, frequent whiners uh, I mean, travelers, and so on.

I don't know how the program will look. None of us low-ranking employees do. But one thing is for sure: it's going to require an entirely new mindset for both officers and passengers. FWIW, TSOs are also expressing doubt that this will work. I can understand that, however; many people tend to resist change even when it makes sense.

We'll see how it works out in the end.

Ron, do you realize that several of your colleagues post here and are well respected, even if the majority of posters disagree with their position on the issues?

If TSA starts "protecting us" against ultraright Norwegians, then we know the whole bunch needs some time in confinement for mental issues.

Well, you never know ... I have it on good authority that lutefisk could kill :)

I disagree; I believe very few if any TSA employees who post here are "well respected". We are called traitors and worse. Just my opinion; but if you can direct me to those TSA employees who are not "traitors" (how can anyone respect a traitor, I will never know) and who are well respect, please let me know. ;)

That the content of one's posts are substantively disputed without the poster being generally derided as a propaganda artist can be taken as a sign of being respected for their contributions to this forum -- whether the contribution is from a self-identifying TSA employee or otherwise doesn't make a difference.

About respecting a "traitor". I do recall that even some of the British have come to respect George Washington and a bunch of other "traitors" that were his contemporaries too.

I have little doubt that the TSA may consider a lot of its American critics to be "traitors", but then again a TSA idea of a "traitor" may well be indistinguishable from a patriotic, peaceful American.

Well, maybe not 'traitors', maybe just 'domestic extremists'.

Personally, I could never respect a person who sexually terrorizes people just so that they could cash a paycheck. Even if that sexual terrorist is well spoken and sometimes provides insights into his immoral life and profession.

We all need an income of course, but most of the human race has limits as to how they would treat their fellow man.

The posts that a sexual terrorist makes however, can be interesting so that we can better understand how their mind functions.

I certainly never felt 'respected' when I visited at the BLOG.

"Interesting" is not the same as "respect", nor even the same as "well respected". So I am still waiting for an answer to my comment about what was claimed...

To be honest with you, that doesn't matter as it has nothing to do with the comment I responded to nor what I said/asked.

You have hit the very crux of what has happened to a large number of flyers. I for one used to hold those who 'protected' the flying public in the highest esteem. I was part of the 'anything for security' crowd after 9-11. Unfortunately, I now am more afraid of the TSA than I am of the terrorists. I actually have changed my traveling habits because of the new procedures. I have cut my travel by 2/3rds. I no longer make unnecessary trips. I distrust my government and those that it employs. This is distressing for me. I really don't want to despise or distrust those whose job it is to 'keep me safe', yet being radiated, searched, intrusively questioned and put into the category of guilty until proven innocent absolutely repulses me. SATTSO, I am very sorry to say that I do not respect the TSA or what it has done, and is doing to the flying public. I wish I felt differently. Unfortunately, because I fly so often, and have had to endure what I see as an affront to the basic tenants of what it means to be an American, and to live in America that I for one need to voice my displeasure. What is happening is unAmerican. Those of us who fly often see it for what it is. Expensive security theater that really doesn't make us safer. I have no doubt that there are TSO's that are trying to do a good job and truly believe in their cause. Unfortunately, your organization has alienated flyers such as myself. Again, I truly wish I felt differently.

So then you do not agree with the statement that halls120 made claiming that there are TSOs on this site who are respected, even if people disagree with their point of view?
