TSA’s Forced Indignities Don’t Make Us Safer: Jeffrey Goldberg

Yet another media Article on Bloomberg News critical of the TSA and the indignities that they foist on us when we fly.

TSA’s Forced Indignities Don’t Make Us Safer: Jeffrey Goldberg

Good article.

Are they still getting all worked up when the patdown reveals that somebody has a benign cyst? That's really absurdist theater.

If a terrorist plot has gone undiscovered by the world’s intelligence agencies, by the U.S. military, by the Federal Bureau of Investigation and by local law enforcement, the chance is high that the plotters are also more sophisticated than the TSA.
But, but... it's not the TSA's job to catch terrorists. Ron said so.

Good article, thanks OP ^

Except for one thing. The Obama administration announced last week that terrorists may be trying to carry surgically implanted bombs onto commercial flights. The body-imaging machines can’t see beneath the skin. So these machines are now officially irrelevant, thanks to the surgical innovators of al-Qaeda. The TSA is in a losing battle.

So when are the trucks coming to remove the NoSs?

There seems to be a rash of anti-TSA articles today:

Maybe the crimes, gropings, lies and broken promises are wearing thin.

When the old Wilson Bridge in D.C. was demolished, drivers entered a contest with their worst bridge commute horror stories, and the winner got to push the button to implode the beast.

I think a similar contest is in order...

For a person with a challenged imagination, could you spell out what the winner gets again They get to blow up a bridge?
