Qatar and Alcohol

I'm flying QR to Kathmandu in October, via Doha. On my return I would like to bring back(to UK) a bottle of Everest beer. Anyone know if it can go through Doha in my checked in baggage?

Thanks

Since you'll not have access to your bag in Doha, it shouldn't be a problem. I'll bet Qatar airport even sells duty free liquor.

I pass through Doha once a month and there's no problem with having liquor in your carry-on or checked bag.

And yes, you can buy booze at the duty free.

I went through Doha 2 years ago and had a bottle of bourbon in my checked bag. It got to London safely.
Ciggies are cheap at Doha's duty free btw, alcohol is reasonable.
