Got a targeted offer to get 2x points on everything for 3 months on my sapphire preferred. Have been using my PP card. So if I spend say 10k in the next 3 months and get an extra 10k miles, that would seem to far outweigh the 2k flex miles I would get from the PP card, since I dont know if I would ever need those anyway. Any thoughts?

My kid in college got a targeted offer in mail for 50K points for Sapphire card with the annual fee (waived first year) with low spending threshold ($1K as I recall) and another targeted offer by mail at the same time for 25K points for the no fee version of the card with a low spending requirement. Both expire later this month. So there are better offers that are targeted.

Looks like the annual fee increased from $85 to $95. At $95, is the Preferred card still worth it after the first year?
