My wife and I are averaging a Chase offer in the mail every other day for the last month or so. The offers are getting better as time goes by, so we just may take them up on one soon.

I've got three chase cards and get five or six offers a week from them. Often I get two of the exact same offer the same day - and it will be for a card I already have.

This has been discussed at length in other forums--try searching in the the United forum (where you might have gotten more info if you had posted there).

In sum, Chase's marketing dept. does not appear to check to see if you have one or more UAL cards before you are mailed many offers for other cards. And, it you already have a card or two you are very unlikely to get the promised bonus miles if you bite on the mailed offers as the fine print says bonus miles are one time only.

Chase doesn't cross check anything. Case in point, I have a standard Chase Business Rewards card. I get an offer to sign up for that SAME card about once every 3 days. I know the envelope by heart and shred on sight. What a tremendous wate of money on Chase's end. I've actually almost cancelled the card I already have out of protest for the annoying solicitations!

I have their MR card, and I get the Business card offer about twice a week. It's annoying, but I've started wondering if I did sign up, would they give me the MR points and such for the second card, too?

They must have gotten your credit status and you must have great credit. They market by mail to consumers with good credit...Chase likes Chasing people with good credit!!!

I have pretty good credit and get 3-5 credit card offers a week.

My only tip is to recycle your junk mail. I can't stand the thought of all that waisted paper. I usually seek out my cards for rewards instead of them sending me offers

Did they offer you any miles/points to stay?

Every week or two for at least 6 months I've gotten an offer letter from Chase for the United card. What gets me is all the money they put into going after me, yet they never send anything better than the base offer anyone could get.

I tired of the credit card offers pretty quickly, so I called up Chase and asked to be removed from their mailing lists and to not share their information with any companies, even their own. I no longer receive offers from Chase for anything (i.e. credit cards, home equity loans, etc).

I'm more offended that I'm not worth anything more than the base offer to them!

I've got the Mileage Plan card and the Marriott Rewards card from Chase. I probably get several junk mailings a week. My 11-year-old daughter gets them too. I usually tear up the offers (removing the portion with my name on it) and mail it back them in the postage paid envelope.

My little attempt at sticking it to the man.

Jeeves, how far apart did you obtain these two cards? I currently have the Marriott and want to obtain the Mileage Plus, but they denied me for the latter as the existing account had only been open for 5-6 months.

I still remember the deluge that occurred after I got my second card with Chase (a Marriott Visa) about 2 years ago. Within 10 days after receiving my Marriott card, I got unsolicited offers from Chase for the United card (two separate mailings), Disney card, regular card with no affiliated reward program, and the Continental card. I remember being quite stunned when they did that.
