Upgrading from CSP to CSR, would existing points value increase?
Hi,
As a CSP card member, my points worth 1.25 cents each, if redeemed for travel using Chase portal. Let's say that after a year from now I accumulated 60000 UR points, they would worth $750 if redeemed using Chase portal travel. My question is, what would happen if I asked (and get approved) to upgrade the card after a year from CSP to CSR? Would these 60000 points be worth 1.5 cents each instantly ($900 if redeemed using Chase portal for travel)? Or since I earned them as a CSP member, they would stay @1.25 cents while the new points after upgrading to CSR is what would worth 1.5C?
Thanks

Yes, the same is true if you Combine points earned with another card into a Sapphire Reserve account.

You asked multiple questions, so to be clear: If you upgrade your CSP to CSR, all UR points on that card will be worth 1.5 cents per point in the travel portal. This is automatic. As mia wrote, you can also combine UR points from other cards (Freedom, Ink, etc) onto the CSR and those will have the 1.5 cents per point value as well.
