Link in Wikipost. Multi-step spending requirement cloned from recent BA cards:

- Plus 25,000 Bonus Avios after $10,000 spend within your first year.
- Plus a further 25,000 Bonus Avios after you spend $20,000 total on purchases within your first year from account opening.*

They used to in the first 90 days (if I remember correctly) but when I asked about the IHG Premier statement credit they said NO
possible but not as foolproof as it was a year ago

Actually, I see that Chase has now launched an Aer Lingus Visa with identical sign-up bonus: https://creditcards.chase.com/a1/aer...100K?CELL=6V0K
I've hardly signed up for any cards in the last couple of years, so I might spread that $20K spend over these two cards and get 150K Avios, rather than getting 100K Avios for $20K on the Iberia card.

Set Lingus , Iberia and British Airways all now have 100k after 20l spend (or 75k after 10k)
but it remember that every card counts against 5/24 etc.
personal decision/circumstances but why not ask via PM and go from there

Anyone know how long it takes for points to post? My 1st statement closed 11 days ago and nothing has shown up in my Iberia account. (I called Chase to make sure they had my correct Iberia account number and they confirmed that they did.)

What would be the considerations in deciding whether to apply for the BA or IB card? I see the BA card promoted, and one thing I have in mind is to add to the orphan 500 BA Avios I have, but I see that I can eventually transfer between programs. I guess the surcharges for TATL awards would be more tolerable if using IB. Is there much difference between the programs in booking AA U.S. domestic trips?

since the bonus is gone now, when can you churn this card? Spend $30k in a year for 120K points. Can you close card soon after then reapply. Little confusing because no bonus.
what is the process for churning the Aer lingus, Iberia and BA cards now that the bonus has been replaced with spending $30k for 120 pts? 2 years from when you received the last 4pt for spend. Confusing now that the bonus is gone.

But for me at least the bigger problem is that I'd much prefer the first over the second:
- earn 60k for spending $3k on the card in 3mo, and put another $12k on other cards
- earn 60k by spending $15k on the card
... even if the latter does allow for earning more.

I suppose you could spend the $30k faster, to presumably start the 24mo clock sooner.
