Chase “documentation”
Applied for (and received instant approval) the Chase Sapphire Reserve about three days ago. I currently have 4 chase cards open, all but one opened long prior to 24 months.
Just received a call from Chase (and I called back the number on my cards), requesting further “documentation”, specifically asking for my social security card (a scan of, not just number), my DL (a scan of, not just number) and a utility bill.
What’s going on?
FWIW, I do a moderate amount of MS on two of the Chase cards (one for UR, one for airline miles)

I don't even have a physical social security card. Be tough for me to comply with a request for scanning it.

You've hit a fraud trip wire. If you have lost your Social Security card, you may be able to obtain a replacement online or you may have to submit a written form. Chase may also agree to accept a certification from Social Security. Those can be obtained on the spot at any Social Security office if you appear with the correct ID's.
