I applied of the same card 2 weeks ago and it went pending. Called automated line and said "30 days". I was approved 3 days later. Now waiting for the card to arrive. So, 7-10 days means you have to have a mailed letter by now with the decision. After 3 weeks I would definitely call reconsideration and get to know what happened. Maybe 5/24, maybe no more room for credit, who knows. Four weeks is how long the app stays alive (30 days) with the Hard Pull to your credit, if I am correct.

My wife will try to get 2 SWA cards to get the Companion Pass for 2018/2019. Word is that the applications will remain 60K until Oct 4. Does anybody know for sure if the 3 months we have to meet spend requirement is 3 calendar months (apply 10/3, we have until 1/3/18) or 90 days? I want to hit the spend threshhold as late as possible.

My wife has 5 Chase personal cards (CSR, Hyatt, IHG, Freedom, FU) and 1 business Ink Cash. What’s the best strategy for application? In the past, I applied for personal SWA card first and then business and that worked for me. I think she'll close her FU (I have one already) but I'm not sure what she should do with the CSR. The AF is due next month. Should she downgrade to another Freedom (I also have a Freedom and we don't need 3 between us), or should she just close it after transferring CL to another card? Also, should she also close her Ink beforehand? I already have the INk and we don’t MS so I won’t meet my $25K annual limit for 5x.

Many DPs suggest that you will have 115 days to meet min spend on the SW cards.

As to your other point, does this mean you're already at 5/24? I'm not a big fan of closing accounts especially UR generating ones. Are you proposing closing accounts in order to get under 5/24?

There is absolultey no reason to cancel the ink cash, imo. It can be such a good UR gainer.

ill agree with a maximum number of cards plus credit line.

I had ink + AU
Freedom
applied for CSP approve high CL
applied for CIP in August requested 10k approved for 5k
applidd for FU In September online approved for $500.

Credit score was 750+

The first one was the IHG and they pulled Experian which was frozen, so I called in and gave them a 1 time use pin and it worked fine.

The second time, for the Hyatt the next day, they wanted to pull Equifax. I lifted my Equifax temporarily but they said my credit report showed blank. Obviously there are lots of issues going on at Equifax right now.

Ultimately after a bunch of time spent on hold they approved me. Later on that day on Credit Karma I learned they pulled TransUnion (without telling me) which was temporarily unfrozen due to my Barclays Arrival+ app (which was not approved due to too many new cards in the last 24 months).

I thought it was weird to see Chase pull TransUnion, but there are worse places to take a hard pull. I am assuming they did it since Equifax was having issues. In retrospect, I should have pushed the rep towards pulling Experian again as the hard pulls in a 2 day span would surely merge together. I had no clue she was going to pull TransUnion though, as I was thinking she would get through on Equifax where I was happy to take a pull.

Hopefully this is the right thread and possibly a silly question: I had a CSP, which I missed the minimum spend by about $150 and subsequently did not receive the reward. It's been cancelled. If I reapply for a CSP or CSR, am I eligible for the 50K bonus?

In my reading of the terms, since I failed to earn the bonus the last time around and I'm not a sapphire card holder at the moment, the bonus should still be available.

Can anyone weigh in on this?

No, pulls are not merged due to the goodness in anyone's heart. They're merged because they're not timestamped, only datestamped, and don't come with details, so a bureau that gets two on the same day from the same bank can't tell if they're duplicates or not, so assumes they could be duplicates, and since it doesn't want to count duplicates twice, it doesn't count them.

But two pulls that come in to the bureau on clearly different days are not likely to be seen as duplicates, and so are much less likely to be merged.

(Pulls are not merged by the bank, unless the bank "re-uses" the info from the previous pull. Pulls that are actually done twice by the bank are merged by the bureau, if they're going to be merged.)

The sign up bonus terms call for 24 months since last bonus, so by virtue of not having received the bonus, you're good to go :)

Many Chase cards will automatically reject you and not even incur a hard pull, if you're within 24 months and ineligible. Several DPs of IHG and Marriott doing this, for example

It is over 30 days after I applied for Ink preferred business, which is my first chase business card. I had three personal cards with them. Today automatic line did not give me status but transfer to a live agent. I tried three times and all transferred. The agent do not know the reason and give me verification telephone number and suggest to call them on Monday. Anyone has similiar experience? Thanks!

Did all 3 agents give you the same suggestion (to call the verification number)?

Hmm, Chase applications are generally only active for 30 days, so your app could well be expired.

The 3117 status line will either 1) automatically forward you to a live rep or 2) say "no apps in last 30 days" if there's no active app in the system.

Not sure if recon will have better luck in resurrecting your app

I explained my circumstances (relocated to US etc etc).. they asked and verified my Chase relationship, then after multiple other questions on income, etc etc, they approved it with a small limit.

Funny thing, was them telling me that it was declined because of only 1 card which had a short tenure till date ..
