Deciding between Flight Options to Greece

SO and I would like to travel to Greece in September. We have ~270,000 Ultimate Rewards points we'd like to use. What considerations should be take into account for deciding between an American Airlines flight vs. British Airways flight, that are at the same time? Is one more pleasant or friendlier than the other?
Both are about 74,000 points round trip per person in the Ultimate Rewards travel portal. Both are 14h25m.

If they are at the same time are you sure its not the same flight, just with two codes?

If they are the same flight, book the "native" flight number, not the codeshare. Infinitely easier to deal with (e.g. - online check in, seat assignments, etc.)

BA can have large "fuel taxes". As someone said these may be the same flt with diff. flt #s.

I think they must have been the same flight with identical codes as suggested by @swiftlaw. Thanks.

There is a flight from BWI to ATH (stopover in London) that looks great, that I think I'll book with just my United points.
Then the return flight ATH to BWI (with 1 stopover) is operated by Air Canada. I think I'll call to see if they have award travel. If so, I will transfer Ultimate Rewards points to United and call United to book the Air Canada flight.

Thanks!
