if you thought 5x was going to last forever then u are living in a fantasy world.

also 3x on these particular categories + 80k signup bonus is pretty solid.

I wonder if this will be subject to 5/24

Indeed. I wonder why CC issuers aren't designing cards that cater to just the whims of MSers.

what are you talking about? Some MSers spend 50k on Ink. That is a lot of fees for Chase you know :D

Are Chase business cards subject to 5/24?

IMO even 1.5-2x is going to be threatened eventually, but that's a discussion for another thread.

Anyway, this is still a pretty good card for people with legit online businesses. Web hosting might generally count as "telecommunications", for instance. (Not 100% sure on that.)

I know at least one person whose business uses google fiber service and it does not earn the 5x on Ink because Chase said it was not coded as Telecom service.

well that's the point isn't it, that this represents less benefits

these categories are painfully narrow.

I was thinking along the lines of government mandated swipe fee caps for credit cards (like what happened with the Durbin amendment and debit). With the lawsuits the major retailers have been filing lately, I almost feel like it's a matter of time at this point.

And before people claim that we'll still have the same level of benefits due to competition, etc., there's a reason why cards generally don't offer more than 1.5-2x without earning caps and/or in MS-resistant categories--even though most people with rewards cards revolve balances.

Yes. And they count in calculating 5/24 as well.

This part is lost on the many many rewards seekers who don't have any real business spending.

Nowhere it's said Ink Plus benefits will change... stop panicking

Any guesses if there's going to be an Ink Reserve coming out next year?

I think it would not be before 2018. Chase will not know if the consumer Reserve card is profitable until around this time next year, at the earliest.

Per TPG, Ink+ won't be available after Ink Preferred launches.
