How does chase authorized user work?

I read several articles online, they mentioned that the main account will be added to AU's credit report and affect their credit score. I added an AU and got the card recently, however Chase didn't ask any additional information other than the AU's name. So how would Chase confirm an AU's identity and change his/her credit report?

This is a question I was wondering myself very recently. I'm very interested in the response.
