Chase reconsideration
I'd opened one chase card over 6 months ago. Just opened the BA card seevral days ago and then opened the Hyatt a day later and was rejected for the Hyatt due to too many inquiries.

I have 4 chase cards including the BA. I thought that 2 cards in 6 months was safe? Will they reconsider a denial? I'm open for them to close an existing to approve my app for the Hyatt. Also, should i speak to credit analst or just the standard reconsideration line?

Anyone been in this sitaution care to share their experience?

The stated reason you were rejected won't be cured by closing or transferring credit. How many inquiries, from all issuers, appear on your credit reports? I wouldn't call the reconsideration line until I knew the data they are looking at.

Actually I got the AMex Business about 3 months ago, the Citi AA and the BA a week ago and the Hyatt a day after the AA and BA were approved.
No other cards opened.

Most issuers, including Chase, won't approve you for more than one card within a certain time frame (usually 90 days). It also sounds like you rushed into too many apps too quickly.

I should have clarified: more than one card from the same issuer. The OP applied for a Chase card several days ago, and another more recently. He didn't combine applications on to a single day.

You can still get two Chase cards on the same day, it just requires a call to recon. I got my two within about a week of each other.
