Quick Question RE: Chase BA Card
My wife and I have a Chase BA Card that I got from the 100k signup. I love the Avios because CLT is my home airport and I like that I can use them to transfer to AA and fly via MIA to lots of destinations fairly cheaply.
I was targeted with the AMEX 100k MR signup and also signed up for several AA cards. Therefore, I have a lot of spending to do.
I want to keep the BA card as my primary spending card but won't be putting much on it for the next several months and have just gotten hit with the annual fee.
I am thinking of closing the account and after 3-4 months re-opening with whatever signup bonus is available. Will this be a problem? How quickly can one apply for the Chase BA card after closing it?
Thanks!
P.S. Also thinking of doing the same with my Barclays US Airways card? Same questions as to it.

Read the terms and conditions for your credit card. With Chase, from what I read here, you could only get the signup bonus once unless the product changed or something to that effect. I think I might have seen others say after 2 years of closing a Chase card. I wouldn't hold my breath if you plan on signing up for the card again in a few months and expect to get the bonus. I don't think any credit cards allow another bonus in such a short period. Chase is just not a good card for churning purposes.
I'm not sure about the US Airways card, but you should apply for it soon if you really want/need it because it might get phased out with the merger. AA will stick with Citi so Barclays will probably be out of the picture.
