UR points deducted for return?

I recently had to get a refund for a prepaid hotel room bought on Agoda that I had to cancel. The Chase card used for the original reservation has been closed. Agoda would not put the refund on my current Chase card and credited back to a closed account. I called Chase and asked them to apply the credit to the current account and they said they could not do that. They mailed me a check. No UR points were taken away. The transaction was for $75.
