Mid-cycle Chase SP offer - apply or wait?

As a first time poster, just wanted to say I appreciate all of the information here, and have learned a lot since signing up.

I did my first mini-AOR in mid-January (15th, to be exact), and applied for four cards: Citi AA Visa & Amex using the 2-browser trick; the Chase Hyatt; and the Barclay's US Airways card. I've gotten the minimum spend on all but the Citi Visa right now. Credit score is 750ish.

I was planning on waiting until mid-April to apply for a new set of cards, and had at least the Chase Sapphire Preferred and Citi TY Premier in mind, along with the Amex SPG (already have an Amex Plat).

Today (Feb 20) I received a pre-screened offer in the mail from Chase for the Sapphire Preferred with the 40K bonus offer for 2K spend in 3 months. The offer says it's good until April 1, 2013.

Should I apply for the CSP mid-cycle given the pre-screened offer, or wait until 91 days are up per conventional wisdom? Do these "pre-screened" offers mean anything?

Many thanks for the help.

This is the current offer in branch, non-targeted. I would not be concerned about the offer dropping by April, but that's a risk you'll need to decide if you want to take. Just know it's not a special offer, really.

Thank you roki. I don't have any Chase branches nearby (I am in DC), but I noticed that the difference between the mail offer and the offers floating online is just 1K in minimum spend, which won't be a problem. I will hold off for now and wait until I can apply for more cards at once with a higher likelihood of approval.
