So I dined out on 04/04 which was the first Friday of the month. The transaction just posted in my account activity but it only shows 2x bonus points earned. Also, the "Trans Date" is 04/05 even though we ate out on 04/04. Do the 3x points show under the transaction details right away?

When the merchant posts on the wrong date, you can ask Chase to adjust (since they'll see that the initial authorization was done on the Friday). See http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/chase...rday-date.html for more anecdotes.

I have a CSP UR Mall question re: Hotels.com extra points/dollar bookings. I booked a hotel stay on 1/25 for a stay the night of 1/27 through the UR Mall, and those 3 extra points per dollar posted on 2/2.
I have a couple trips coming up for later this spring and this summer, and have booked 3 or 4 different stays in the past two weeks on hotels.com through the UR Mall. Do the 3 extra points per dollar normally post a few weeks after BOOKING and PAYMENT (since the card is charged at time of booking), or after the STAY? Just curious if I'll see the points post soon or not! |
I believe it's after the actual stay. Otherwise you could just book all these hotel stays, get the bonus points, then cancel the stay.

Yes, after the stay.

Sorry if this is the wrong thread...
When do UR portal bonus points show up in my total? I just got the CSP a couple of weeks ago and one of my first purchases was at Petco through UR. I got an email a few days later saying "congratulations, you've earned bonus points at Petco" but my UR balance is still 0. Will they show up when the first statement closes or should I be seeing them already? |

Points on refunds
I've noticed a weird thing with my card. If I cancel a purchase or later refund a purchase, I still get points for it. This even happens through the UR Mall. Anyone else experience this?

I had to fly home from Holland to the US due to a death in a family. I used points to fly home the next morning and didn't cancel one of my legs of my original flight. Would Chase still refund that original leg home?
|
was it a refundable ticket? If not, no. You didn't show and didn't cancel.

Looking at Getting the sapphire preferred card, am I able to redeem points using the ultimate rewards mall for flights on hawaiian airlines?

It does show up as an option on "Book Travel" so you can redeem points at a value of 1.25 cents per point to pay for the flight. It is not a member store of the Ultimate Rewards Mall so there is no bonus (beyond 2x airlines) for booking directly at Hawaiian using the card. |
