Yea, I have a feeling the no FTF cards will be the last ones to get the chip . . .

Add one more Chase card that is getting the EMV chip, the Hyatt Card. This would be the perfect card for me if they would just add the chip. I spoke with the CSP customer service and they said they MIGHT add it early in Q2.

I am really hoping the CSP gets the chip. I'm going to Europe in late May, and would like to have a chip card just in case without having to apply for a new card.

I'm with you on that. I mentioned to them to notate my account (if that did any good) so I would be notified as soon as they added this feature.

If not, I'm going to need to pickup the BA or Hyatt card. Maybe just maybe the BA card will have the 100k bonus come back to compete with the CapOne Venture promo. One can hope right? :)

Delayed Baggage coverage. Unlike it says on most literature i've read, Chase does not provide quality coverage.
1. It only provides coverage after 18 hrs have passed. Up until that point, you're toast - no funds for toothpaste, change of underwear, nothing. 18 hours is huge if you are flying into a city for business.
2. Even after 18 hrs, they only provide $100/day. In Europe that will get you next to nothing.
I will be cancelling my card - the points are not worth the amount lost due to appearing un-presentable for business meetings.
My basic AmEx gives better coverage.

I didn't think there was any delayed baggage coverage at all on Sapphire Preferred.

There is lost or damaged baggage coverage, which is not the same as a delay. That's basically -- you never see it again, or what you get is beyond repair.

There is trip delay insurance if your flight is delayed or cancelled such that you're stuck for 18 hours or more. But that should have nothing to do with baggage.

Even the U.S. Amex Plat (personal) has no baggage delay or trip delay insurance unless you pay a separate fee.

You could just go with my policy of never checking bags ;).

If you are spending a lot of time in Europe, I would think that the no foreign transaction fees would offset this. I'm guessing your basic Amex doesn't have that benefit.

Apologies if I missed something on my search, but can this card be registered for Rewards Network?

Sure. Mine is. Is there any Visa/MC/Amex that can't be?

Sapphire Preferred 50,000 point offer not working

Just tried various links for the 50k offer and none are working! Chase says the offer is not available!

May be they are planning to launch a 100 K card in April ..

Is there any data to suggest this? I was going to apply for the 50K today but I will wait if anyone has any evidence there is going to be a 100K offer in April.

Chase has this policy of matching the best public offer, if you apply within the past 90 (or 60?) days. So, you should totally apply now instead of waiting.

So, if they do offer a 100K bonus and you've gotten your SP within the last 60-90 days, then they will give you the extra 50K bonus, provided you've met your minimum spend?

That seems to be the way it works. Although, there is NO evidence of a 100k offer coming down anytime soon. You could say the same about the British Airways card possibly bringing its 100k offer back.
