city code for panama city?
In looking for the city code for Panama City, Panama and I found PTY.
When I search UA using PTY, I get an error response saying that I need to search for a larger airport. Which city code should I use for UA?
Thanks in advance.

Maybe UA & it's partners/codeshares don't serve PTY and that's why it isn't coming up.

That did occur to me but I suppose I'm just surprised by the notion that UA or one of the partners wouldn't service the capital of Panama. That's why I'm asking for insight from one of the more experienced folk.... perhaps I'll have to try another airline/alliance. Thanks.

Thanks Elvis. Yup, Continental and Delta seem to definitely service PTY.
(and AA, too but at about twice the price!)
O.k., I guess I should forget UA and partners.

I was just in Panama City inFeb '06 - it is changing so fast. Very beautiful - a whole new skyline developing. The "old town" is being refurbished - it looks like Bourbon St. in New Orleans only nicer. Very impressive.
