i was at the HKIA CX lounge yesterday from 5.30am to 10.30am.

the entrance is no longer located at L6 but instead you have to go up to L7, and head towards the customs duty office/area.

you will eventually reach a very small entrance that goes directly to the first class lounge.

the lounge is (for now) combined and guests are free to sit wherever they like.

however the business class lounge has been halved. the areas in "black" (beyond the white marbled breakfast bar that faces the tarmac) are closed off.

showers are still available and as clean as i remembered them to be. i took a shower immediately when i arrived. nothing seems to have changed in the shower.

after my BP was scanned by a VERY polite lounge dragon, an attendant took my temperature and i was offered a shower, cabana, or breakfast, then escorted to the showers...

everyone hung out in the comfy seats at F so that was the area i avoided. i walked past F after my shower and when i was on my way out.

there only thing available for guests to "DIY" were 9 cans of drinks: 3 coke lights, 3 coke zeros, and 3 cream sodas.

these were in the lit glass bottom refrigerated section (i remember this was previously for jugs of OJ, milk, salads, etc) not far from the espresso maker in the business class section.

all the 9 cans were spaced apart in a socially-distanced manner.... there were drink glasses beside it (bottoms up) to the left, and a bottle of manually pumped hand sanitizer on the right.

napkins must be requested.

everything is bare. no fridge full of drinks (no visible fridges), no fruits, no sandwiches, no jar of cookies, etc. the walls were barren. i'm sorry i didn't take photos because i was really tired from staying up for 2 straight days.

hot drinks are made on request and delivered to your table. the usual drinks were available (espresso, americano, different teas, etc)

hot drinks don't come with a little biscuit (anymore? i can't remember, but i am almost 100% sure they did in the past).

there're 2 menus guests can peruse to order food and additional drinks from. i had a western breakfast set and shrimp dumpling noodles. there were a whole bunch of choices for food.

the alcohol section is located at the bar near F but i didn't stay in F because i didn't want to be phsyically near other people.

i BELIEVE that alcohol bar to be in service because it was lit and stocked - but i really cannot be sure. i did not drink. however the menu i mentioned above also had alcohol drinks (wines, pagne, etc) and i'm sure they would be happy to take your order and serve you whatever was available.

the "business center" was also operational - 2 imacs and 2 printers and a hot desk for 2. i was the only one that did some work there while i was in the lounge.

the staff were really polite, and tried to make small talk to me. service was great. it was just a very surreal experience...

in the area where i was seated, there was only 1 other guest that stayed for about 3 hours. she was seated in a round cafe table with regular height seats.

i stayed for 4 hours. another gentleman sat at the breakfast bar and nursed a coffee and then left within 20 minutes to presumably find a more comfortable seat.

the only complain i have was that the floor right by the urinals are, like before, not regularly mopped. there was a mop and bucket right there (!), and the lady attendant did go in and out regularly but it was quite messy... and unmopped.

the staff outside the bathroom were on the ball and kept the place looking very neat and tidy and were attentive as could be. they were all masked, and the people handling food (they came out from either haven or the noodle bar - the noodle bar is not accessible to guests) were gloved.

lots of squeaking shoes from the staff walking around. it was quiet.

i'd be happy to answer any questions if there are any.

i spent an hour catching up on work, and the other 3 hours watching planes land and take off as i nursed 5 cups of coffee and 3 sodas (i tried one can of each flavor - no reason other than they were what was there and i wanted a semblance of being able to get my own drink).

there appeared to be a lot more cargo traffic than i ever recalled seeing at HKIA.... passenger planes were coming and going with good frequency too, but i don't know about the loads... there were also 2-3 private jets that left HKIA while i was there.

it was, for me, a very somber atmosphere. rather quiet. the music was appropriately soothing but i was mostly plugged into my own music playlist.

the younger/youngest staff seemed really bored.

I was at the Wing F lounge last week for evening departure.
I am surprised that J pax have access to F lounge.

As mentioned above, the buffet in the restaurant has disappeared but a la carte menu is promptly served. Main dishes were excellent. Usual wine selection. It is still a F experience.

So all pax in the lounge can head to the Restaurant for a la carte dining or this is very much just reserved for DM pax only?

I have no idea if J pax can access the F part of the Wing.
I am OWE so enters the F part normally. No one checked when I moved to the restaurant part.
There has always been pax from the J part sneaking into the F part. I do not know if that is now legally allowed.
