1. MYR - the air ticket is most likely natively priced in MYR ex-MY so the HKD option is DCC.
2. SGD - ditto
3. MYR unless thru hotels.com/Agoda or other OTA which give close to wholesale prices
These are just general rules of thumb - sometimes you can't avoid looking at the Visa rate in http://hk.ttrate.com/m/zh_hk/index.p...&c=MYR&s=3&t=3 , adding 1.95% to the MYR rate and comparing the translated MYR price to the HK price
To complicate things HK cards charged in HKD in outside of HK (MH in MY, SQ in SG, hotels.com in FR) may be charged 0.8%-1% cross-border fee too

This is a KIX-HKG ticket on HKExpress
Native pricing is JPY4,900
It was then translated to HK$366.91 @ $0.07488/JPY (given wholesale rate was 7.06 on Monday night when this screenshot was captured, that's a 6% scalp)

MCC for Watsons/Mannings?
Are Watsons/Mannings classified as supermarkets/convenience stores by Mannings?
Just checking to ensure I have enough eligible spending this month to reach the $5k threshold for the SC CUP 12X promo (and can then divert spending to other cards once I've passed the $5k threshold).

Watsons/Mannings are not supermarkets/telecoms/convenience stores so not eligible for 12x.

BEA 6% overseas spending promo
Is there any catch to this promo? https://www.hkbea.com/html/en/bea-cr...-spending.html
I assume you get the miles (on Flyer World cards) as well as the 6% rebate? And as long as you spend exactly $5,000, seems like a very good deal?

Cannot make up with online spending, not counted.
That's why I used Compass Visa in Australia earlier this month.
