Bankcomm Super Fun Spending Program 15/3-14/6 (up to $1.66/AM)

I assume you can only get those rates if you spend $30K in all three phases?

What are the effective earning rates if you only spend $10K instead? (which seems more achievable)
Phase 1 promo points received. I have not checked my Unionpays but for V/M, Wechat and Payme were counted towards promo.

Because 3X online and 10X designated merchants now eat into the 75,000 939 promo points you will receive.

So if your spend is online, you'll reach 75,000 points on $10,300 spend (10,300x2 + (10,300-5,000)/100x839 + 5,000x2 = 75,067)
Or if your spend is 10X, then you'll reach 75,000 on $9,800 (25,000 (10X cap) + (9,800-5,000)/100x839 - (9,800-5,000)/100x839 + 5,000x2 = 75,272)

3X and 10X were not included in 75,000 cap of previous 939 promos.

And how on earth do you work out your magic number if you've got a mixture of different types of transactions on the same card?
I guess a simple rule of thumb is:

If all your spend is 3X online, your cap is $10,300
If all your spend is non-3X online, your cap is $12,800
So if your spend is mixed, pro-rate between 10,300 and 12,80
(I'm ignoring 10X for simplicity)

---

Also bear in mind
- eye 5X
- Instant Travel Club 3X
- Tiramisu and Tastie dining 3X

are still excluded from the 75,000 cap, as before.

Many thanks. Very helpful, as always.

BTW: Pretty sure I got 5X bonus when I used my Tiramisu card in a restaurant in Australia (presumably the ITC + dining bonuses are stackable?)

I didn't know they stack - in fact I didn't know of any dining offers that work overseas. Thanks!

What a rubbish promotion for the sake of 200RC!
Just for reference, I called HSBC and complained that their terms and conditions was not clear enough and they opened a case and then credited me the 200RC as a goodwill gesture 😁

Is HSBC Platinum Visa any good?

It seems that right now, you earn a mile for every 2.8 dollars? I reside in HK. I am not familiar with the rewards cash programme. Any pointers would be appreciated. I currently have the SC Credit Card but it's a pain to pay off.

Only in your selected 6X (I assume you have VS so it's 9X) category.

Are you using HSBC as savings bank? Did you apply for PPS https://www.ppshk.com/hkt/revamp2/En...toOpenAcc.html ?

Also if you're using SCB AM, also consider BEA Flyer World. 16% better on general spend

What's the effective AM earning rate for the BoC iCard 9X bonus points for the first $1,100 contactless/supermarket spending every month? And for the Standard Chartered CUP card bonus points for spending exactly $5,000 in supermarkets every month?

Just wondering whether or not its worth continuing with both of these while CCB 939 is on?

I-card: $1.5/AM. The low cap makes the card a non-starter for me (my HSBC 6X is Home).

Thanks. How about the AM earning rate on the Stan Chart CUP promo if you spend exactly $5k in supermarkets each month
