Yea it's an A330, you can tell by the brief shot of the dual RR Trent 700s under the wings during the shot in the paint shop. They didnt show the reg # in the video but it seems affirmative both B-KPM and at least one of the A330s already sport the new paint job.

Thanks, jacobsleather. Although I'm not a Swire shareholder, I would be mighty upset if they spent one cent on the rebranding except when aircraft would normally be repainted as part of routine maintenance or when supplies with the old livery had to be reordered anyway.

The undercarriage footage could have been from anywhere, even stock footage. Yes, its definitely not B-KPM.

What I was referring to was the shot of B-KPM taxing, which has a plane following behind with the brush strokes on the nose. There isn't much to go from, no wingtips visible. I would say from the engine diameter it looks like a 777.

B-HNG has been in Xiamen since 22nd October. Maybe its that.

Or they did it with CGI, which I gather was also how they got the shots with Hong Kong island behind.

It does have an air of patting themselves on the back for a job well-done, much like how the Academy Awards are for Hollywood. It's almost like their rationalizing to convince themselves that this rebranding was worth the time, effort, and expense.

All CGI according to a pilot I spoke to. If so, an incredible job. The shots on the taxiway are superbly realistic.

Actually, now seeing the plane in a real photo it is growing more and more on me, and I think it will look good with all the fleet wearing it - very nice tail and like the new title positions.

Question: Anyone who was there at the unveiling received the 1:500 model plane they gave out to everyone? As a collector of CX models, I would love to get my hands on one - so if anyone has it but doesn't really want it - would love to buy it off them!

Thanks
