Amex Membership Rewards to Asia Miles Transfer Time
I apologize if this has been answered before but I was wondering how long transfers from Amex to CX normally take.
Asia Miles is holding an upgrade award until Monday for me...
Thanks!

I've had varying times. It's ranged anywhere from 1.5 weeks to 4+ weeks. Sometimes you have to give Asiamiles a call to speed up the process. They claim it's all done by systems and they don't have control (which could be true, who knows), but each time after i've called (when it's been over 2 weeks), the miles will appear the next day or 2.

From US issued Amex to Asia miles takes ONLY 1 day.
I signed up with Asiamiles on Saturday, initialized the transfer from Amex on early Sunday morning. Got the points in my Asiamiles account by Monday afternoon.
I needed the miles asap, so I kinda freaked out reading nightkhan's post.
I did call Asiamiles right after I initialized the transfer. A rep told me it would take 4 to 6 weeks, and I think it is true for banks in HK, not US Amex which takes a day or 2 only.
Hope this helps

Yes, as of a month ago.
No, I transferred to my daughter before, but that was a while ago.
I did online. I do not know if there is a phone option (probably there is).
do both accounts have to be in the same name?
can it be done online or is it over the phone?
