Translation:

4 targets
and 3 phases

Target:
1. 4k-10k
2. 10k-20k
3. 20k-60k
4. >60k

Phases:
1. 21/5-20/6
2. 21/6-20/7
3. 21/7-20/8

Target and awards:.
1. 4k-10k (award 20k bonus points)
2. 10k-20k (award 40k bonus points).
3. 20k-60k (award 80k bonus points)
4. >60k (award HK Airline BKK tickets and 60k bonus points)

4-6 weeks and you will receive reward

if cannot meet spending target, handling charge:
Target 1: $180
Target 2: $260
Target 3: $420
Target 4: $2760

300,000 - select target 3 and include basic

target 1 quota: 750
target 2 quota: 700
target 3 quota: 700
target 4 quota; 50

min $400 per eligible spending
no telephone/mail/fax
internet ok but "direct merchants only" (e.g. groupon: no, airline direct: yes)

Each card registers and plays separately, so long as u get under the quota

Registration hotline.2132 9939

9:00AM Tue 21 May

Now that I've registered all five of my cards I can spill the beans

Simply put, by selecting target 3, you can opt to spend nothing and pay $420 in cash for 80,000 pts --> 6,666.67 AM

420/666.67 = $0.063/AM is a steal for most of us here.

That's why we totally nailed the registration hotline by 9:30AM this morning.

If you're planning to kill this offer on Bankcomm Diamond card with coupons
And assuming you value AM at $0.1/mile
You earn 3,333.33 AM or $333.33 (1.67%) + $420 (2.1%) for $20,000 spending.
So CTF prices will have to be 963 or better for this to be worthwhile

If you are using the other Plat Visa/Yanchai Diamond cards, the AM earn halves (1,666.67 or $166.67 (0.83%)), so CTF prices have to be 971 or better.

Think of this offer as a $20,000 targeted spending offer for $420 reward, and add your Bankcomm earn and subtract your substituted card earn accordingly.

E.g. my colleague - he's thinking of using Bankcomm Diamond to pay $20,000 for furniture purchase and if his next best card is DBS Black, then definitely should use Bankcomm Diamond cos the $420 comes for free.

If I'm thinking of paying extra $20,000 banquet (HSBC 6X eligible) (it is, I've already paid the required deposit), my gain is 2.1% + 1.67% - 3.6% (HSBC 6X $2.78/mile) = +0.17% --> maybe not.

We are only up to registration 71x as of yesterday afternoon (http://www.hongkongcard.com/forum/fo...p?id=10379&p=6 59#)...it's filling up slower than I thought.

$0.063/mile not a good deal?

Again, proves that giving people crap earn rates but charging not fees (a la Citi Premiermiles) beats great earn rates but fees payable in HK.

SCB new Salarypack promos - 30K AM for >=80K payroll and $25K spend

Not strictly a credit card offer, but those of us who are eligible to apply for HK credit cards are likely to have HK payroll that can be moved over to Citi

Unlike previous Citi-At-Work cash rebate offers, payroll must be deposited via autopay or standing instruction only. Tho Citi has free T+3 Electronic Clearing transfer to other banks.

And Citi also has some recent history for not honoring offers:

http://www.hongkongcard.com/forum/fo...ow.php?id=9351

Play this offer at your own risk. For payroll offers, at least a follow up call is often necessary before Citi will actually rebate/award.

Sigh...too late for me though and I will definitely missed out on the 30k AM promo. This despite the fact that I will spend more than HK$100k on SCB AE within the next month

Is yours a Gogo Plat Visa / ING Visa that got 770,500 pts instead 770,000 (500 more points)?

Happened to my Gogo Visa and ING Visa but not old Plat Visa...wonder what it is (not complaining!)

Solved. New Plat Visa cards get 500 pts for registering email with Bankcomm. My old Plat Visa was from 2011.

Wow.....impressive haul! I didn't even use up the 60k quota for this promo. Only used up 20k in Dec and a paltry amt in the next 2 months. Nevertheless, this promo still nets me 25k miles. Definitely not a bad one!

Any other promo for overseas spending for the HSBC cc that requires registration?

I'm about to charge about HK$24,000 onto my card but it will be a telephone sales which mean I am not there to sign the slip. I just want to double check that I will still get the 6x RC (though have registered it for 4x) overseas spending?

Thanks y'all !

No overseas spend promo for HSBC now. There's personalised mid May-June target but cash rebate only. And you need to achiever the reqd spending in both periods (half month, month) for it.
