Award Availability
Is there a way to search for award availability on-line without calling CX or AA?

This question pertains specifically to CX flights. I should not have referenced AA in my original post. Sorry.

Using AsiaMiles then sure, go look at the Cathay / AsiaMiles websites.
If you mean using AA miles then you're asking in the wrong forum.

Availabilities are different using CX miles vs AA miles. You need to check with your host airlines (where miles are from).

That's what I needed to know, thank you. I'm using AA miles, so I'll just keep calling into AA to see if certain flights have released more seats.

On a last note before I close this thread... is that oen may use the Asiamiles CX award availability as a guideline to what's generally available 'out there' which includes CX's many airline partners.

Thanks, Guy. I signed up for an Asia Miles number and am now available to check availability on CathayPacific.com. I know availability is not set in stone, but this does give me some guidance.
