BA/AA Redemption

Does this come out of award inventory? Or another fare class?

All award inventories of Oneworld partners have the same inventory codes -

T for Economy class, U for Business class and Z for First Class.

Really? On BA and QF T is a World Traveller Plus revenue code isn't it (it certainly earns on AsiaMiles as such)?

I was under the impression that Cathay's Economy redemption class was X.

Sorry but that is just not correct. Qantas, for example, uses X for it Y award space. I think that U and Z are the only codes used for J and F though.

QF uses 'P' for First not 'Z'

So can I use Ba.com to check award availability since Asiamiles does not have online booking?

It's strange how I need less Asiamiles to book on BA than BA miles...

That's just because Asia Miles are harder to earn than BA miles...

Only on certain flights...

The award codes I gave above seem to hold true for AA and CX flights. Don't know why the other oneworld carriers have different codes though.
