CX J first time questions

I've just booked a ticket for CX J class, which I've not used before, for LHR-SYD and have a couple of questions:

Does CX allow advance seat selection?
Is it possible to find out whether the aircraft I'll use have the new seating configurations?
Is there anything else I should know in advance?

Sorry if this information has previously been shown here - I've done a search and can't find anything.

thanks.

All your flights currently show new longhaul products.

Thanks... I assume that's a good thing? Reports seem to be a bit mixed, though as I'm travelling on my own I don't mind not being able to talk to anyone else, which seems to be the main complaint.

alexss thanks the posts, but really we need some more concrete things to go with here...and ideally not just repeating posts that have been made hundreds of times and wear a few frequent posters thin (new J class is one of those topics, there are tons of threads about it).
