MPC Sectors
I remember in the old website, MPC had a sample of how Sectors are earned.
I have been working in US for a couple years, but now my new employer's prefer airline is CX, and they just got me MPC Green membership again (which I stopped for years)
I just want to have an Idea of how MPC sectors are calculate, because i will be flying soon
I know HKG/TPE is one sectors
what about
HKG/SFO
HKG/LHR
HKG/CGK
Thank you for all the CX experts

But you have to be careful with some routes. For example, JFK-HKG-JFK via YVR is still counted as 2 sectors rather than 4. Same goes for some intra-Asia flights, e.g. HKG-BOM via BKK (counted as 2 sectors rather than 4). This goes for mileage calculation as well.

and business = 1.25 and first = 1.5.
so this is quite the straightforward way, and not like the old SQ PPS way of # sectors earned depending on distance as well (e.g. one J flight could earn you anywhere from 1.25, 2.5, 3.75, or 5 sectors).

thank you very much for the clarification...
I havent receive details about my budget and travel plans yet.
My general orders is to keep short haul in Y Cabin, anything 5+ plus could be on J. Is tough when company also watching ticket prices.
Any ways to check the "Surprised" prices' fare rules?
