Cathay issues today?

Cathay issues today?
I went to check-in online for CX889 tonight (JFK-YVR) and received a message that "due to certain flight changes," this flight was unavailable for check-in. I've been trying to call reservations but have received a constant busy signal. Any ideas?

eta: Never mind...seems the busy signal was momentary and it's just an equipment change...

I was actually on todays CX888 HKG-YVR (May09). We were all lining up at the departure gate and 40min before dep time, they announced flight was delayed due to "mechanical difficulties". The aircraft was changed, and we moved from Gate 1 to Gate 28. I was surprised they would already have a 747 available at such short notice... 2 hours delay. It was an older 747 with the regular seats.... not the fixed new ones. I prefer the older so that was OK. Flight across was only 10h 41m. and we landed ahead of CX836. By the way, I was also astonished that in spite of the delay, many passengers were boarding right up to the new dep time of 4.30pm... maybe the plane took on more from another flight...... tight security too. Additional Bag check at aircraft entrance.
