Why does CX web site not accept Amex?

Why does CX web site not accept Amex?

I'm sure it has something to do with fees but I find this rather inconvenient as my company gives me no choice of corporate card.

Sorry, I can not understand your situation.
I made CX online booking with my AMEX successfully several times.

Edit to Add:
I now understand.
Online booking for ex-MNL seems not to accept AMEX.
I tried both of Japanese page and Philippines English page.
Hum, odd situation.

Wasabi -- Good observation!

I do book my CX flights ex-MNL (often much cheaper than booking from the other end of the city pair)

Amex issue cards in the Philippines. Strange.

Singapore Airlines has similar restrictions:

Payment by American Express is not offered for travel originating from Sri Lanka, Pakistan, China and South Africa due to processing constraints.
Payment by American Express and Diners are not offered for travel originating from Russia.

because amex is the worst card to carry due to rip off fee's all around
