In flight amenities changes
I've noticed on a number of J flights I've taken recently that there are no longer towels provided in the bathrooms. Not a big deal for me, but I guess it's a cost saving measure?
Also, when the Agnes B amenity kits were introduced, they were supposed to provide a different kit for inbound vs outbound flights. Now, it's always the Blue dermalogica kit, and the Black Murad kits have disappeared. Anyone been given a Murad kit recently?

Yeap, the towels have disappeared. But you can always use tissues/paper towels. I always thought that amenity kits are the same inbound and outbound. I asked the F/A on my flight recently if I can have another amenity kit, and she said that since their have to cater for the return sector, she has to get permission before I can get another one.

I took a HKG-SYD-HKG flight in September, and the kits were both Dermalogica. On a Nov trip HKG-AKL, the kit was dermalogica when it should have been Murad.
Not that it bothers me as the Murad amenities are pretty useless. The dermalogica ones I can actually use.

The Darphin for Women kit is much better than any of those but don't go spreading it around. It is nice that men now get the wood comb and women get the wood brush. I guess CX finally realized that Asians have to comb their hair too.
First Class for men there was Acca Kappa products.

Flew SYD-HKG yesterday in J and received the Blue Men's amenities kit with Dermalogica products. Noticed that the Dermalogica items have been changed to a lip balm (same as before), moisturiser and a vitamin skin cream. I guess they realised that a skin scrub wasn't very useful inflight.
There was also a voucher to redeem an Agnes B USB memory stick for 2GB for HKD1200 or some similar ridiculous amount. Non-branded ones can be found for less than HKD200 now, so who except blinded fashionistas would find this a valuable offer??

I actually think the best are the Victorinox kits, you can actually do somthing with them when they are empty.

Love the First Amenity kit
I love the CX First Class amenity kit with the Victorinox bag- really useful and roomy as a travel accessory bag for computer cables, telephone chargers, etc...
