New SFO flights?

Hi all,

Just curious, when CX launches the much anticipated 2nd SFO daily, which flights will be more preferrable? As in the timings, which flight out of SFO is better (873 or 879) and which flight into SFO is better (870 or 872)? I'll be travelling in First so want to experience as much as possible. Would appreciate any advice.

Ps. are the timings out of LAX or SFO better in general? I live halfway between the two, but I prefer SFO since the TBIT in LAX is such a mess. But if the times are better (and the service better), I might opt for LAX.

Thanks!

I personally think the noon SFO-HKG is a completely waste of time. You loose the morning the day of your departure and you arrive at night (loose another day). However, taking this flight, you can enjoy a night's sleep before working the next morning.

Taking the night flight sucks if you can't sleep on planes (i.e. me). You arrive early in the morning and you still have a long day ahead.

It all depends on how you sleep and whether you want to rest immediately after your flight.

The return 2pm and 4pm are virtually the same.

Thanks!
Just another question--what are the meal services like on all the flights--870/879 and 872/873?
Caviar service on any flights in First?
And any chances of the 74A?

Well you need to tell us the date you are flying first . If it's next week no chance, next year, perhaps.
