Getting a waitlist cleared

I have AONE4 ticketed. One critical segment HKG-ICN on 11th June is waitlisted in D (2 class aircraft). BA who ticketed it last week could not see the CX inventory to confirm that seat.

Expertflyer sees loads of availibility in all classes.

I rang CX in the UK last week they confirmed by waitlist request and said leave it there is loads of availibility. It is a week now and it has still not cleared. Do I need to ring again and explain the whole thing again.

What would be my the best strategy in order to get this sorted.

Is it a paper or electronic ticket?

If it is paper, very easy.

If not, then BA will have to sort it out.

BA's systems could be the one showing the incorrect inventory. They need to put it on waitlist and you would have to contact CX to retrieve the booking, and then to confirm it from their availability inventory.
