They were referring to the new lounge - fairly accurate description - packed, small and very bright. As well it seems Oneworld enlisted some minimalist named Dieter to select the seating.. low-backed and not too comfortable (erm.. when you actually could get a seat.. :p)
It does sound like the poster was referring to the J lounge.. (I am wondering if they had counted the stools people were sitting on a count of 200 would have been reached). I had thought the F lounge was only accessable from inside the J lounge but to be fair I did not look inside so it may have the same issues as the J lounge. I just arrive last night on S'pore Airlines into LAX. I saw a sign/notice that some CX will arrive at different terminal from Bradley, so the lounge crowding should be better I guess. Bradley termianl is missing some gates, as they are remodeling the terminal. Our flight, stp[ed at remote gate and we were transfered in by bus. I saw 6-7 airplanes at the remote area, so maybe that is reason they are moving some flights to other terminals. |

I can understand the crowding late at night when all the QF flights depart but during the afternoon it is very peaceful. Be aware though, that if you want a shower and open the door to what you think is the shower room - you're confrionted by everyone in the J lounge. The showers are shared (well no you can shower by yourself) between the 2 lounges. |
