CX Lounge at LAX

Does CX lounge at LAX has shower facility? If not, which OneWorld member's lounge in Tom Bradly International terminal has it and will they let me use it?

Thanks!

No and no.

There only two lounges for all airlines at LAX TBIT at the moment. One for first class, one for business class.

You're best bet in the Admiral's Club which does have showers - the AA terminal as you probably know is adjacent to TBIT

But it's airside, so you'd need to have a way of getting there if you aren't on a connecting flight in to T4.

When the rebuilding of the TBIT lounges is complete (mid-2007), they will all have showers.

Meanwhile, your shower choices are only at the AA lounge in T4 (airside so you need a BP for T4 or arrive on AA). If desperate for a shower, there are several gyms that will sell a day pass for USD 10 at hotels near LAX (Hilton and a couple of others). Otherwise there is no way to get a shower at LAX these days when flying CX or most other airlines.

I will be arriving on AA. However, it's a seperate ticket/itinerary from CX. I wounder if they will let me in if I show them my CX reservation/confirmation.

Really? Did they just let you in after you showed them your itenerary or you need to kind of argue for it? If they can just let me in by showing them my CX reservation, that will be great.

I explained the situation, had to show them my AA boarding pass for the incoming flight and then the boarding pass for CX.

The thing is that my CX and AA are in a seperate itinerary. Therefore, I won't have my CX boarding pass when I arrive on AA. But when I leave T4 and go to TBIT to checking with CX, I don't think I will be allowed to go back to the AA lounge in T4.

Are you checking your bags all the way through to CX even though it's a seperate itinerary? I think your baggage claim and printed itinerary should suffice. As long you you are connecting on the same day, I don't see why AA wouldn't let you in.

My AA ticket and CX ticket are bought seperately (AA bought through AA and CX is bought through CX). My AA depart from SFO in the early evening of Nov. 21st and CX flight depart from LAX at 00:20 on the 22nd. So will AA let me checking my CX flight at same time when I check in at SFO?

Actually, I thought about that earlier. But what do I do with my baggage Sorry, I never done this with CX before so I don't know how it works)?

?
Yes. I have done this many times. When you check in at the AA counter, just tell them you are connecting on to a CX flight and give your final destination. They will also through check your luggage all the way on to your final CX destination. you will NOT need to collect it in LA. Generally they will NOT issue you your CX boarding card though. you will need to still stop at the CX desk in TBIT to pick up your CX boarding pass. The Admirals club should be no problem to let you in. just show them your eticket receipt for the CX flight. Although the Admirals club does close (I think at 11:30?)

The only caveat to the above is if you are travelling on a US passport with no HKID on a one way ticket to HK. Technically US citizens need a return ticket for travel to HK. AA is a stickler for this and will not through check you to the CX flight as they could be held liable for your return costs. CX could care less (as well as HK immigration) if you are on a oneway ticket. Even if this is the case, just tell the lounge you are connecting to CX, show your onward ticket and it should be no problem. They are generally good on this.
