Best seats in First Class?

Hello, what is the best seat on a 747 in First Class?
I travel allone and heve pre booked seat 2K, but some people say seat 1K is the best?

What would you recommend?

Thank you very much!!!

2K..Too Much opening and closing of the closet is a pain for 1K and 1A

I guess you haven't been flying CX in F for a decade -- there is no closet on CX 744s in the nose! BA and QF do have such a closet, but CX thoughtfully took it out many years ago and there is just a nice photo mural -- making 1A/K very private.

It depends on your preference. in Row 1, you are "closer" (although not very close) to your seatmate on the other side, whereas in Row 2 you have the center table next to you, so the other person is effectively invisible. But,m you have people walking by you. If you are going to sleep through meal service, that might be annoying.

Me, I'd stick with Row 1.

Or, if I was actually going to work on watch a couple of movies on my laptop, I'd consider the row 4 outboard seats, where you end up with a nice big shelf to set the laptop on. But otherwise, Row 4 isn't very exciting

1A and 1K are the best if you like the semi-forward view during take-off and landing - and there is absolutely no closet there! 2A and K are also fine but are right next to the table where they put the newspapers out - i also find that is where people tend to stretch.

I flew in 2K SFO-HKG and have to agree with the others that the main disadvantage of row 2 is the serving table, although I had no real problem with it. As sllevin points out, the row 1 seats are closer together than row 2, but not close. The row 2 seats are great, but the row 1 seats are probably the best.

I like row 2 because you are the 'farthest' away from everybody. Row 1 is nice for the view.

Just for a contrarian view... I generally take 4A/K because I find row 1 too claustrophobic - nothing to look at except the wall in front of you for hours. In row 4 you can watch what's going on in the cabin, and you have the big space beside you for laying out stuff (book, laptops, Krug, etc. etc.)

Best seat

IMHO
2K is the best along with 2A. You are the farthest away from any other passsenger. 1K is good but much closer to 1A due to the narrowing of the fuselage.

I go:

2K, 2A, 1K, 1A, 3K, 3A, etc.

But, I don't worry about it too much.

I wonder how much back scatter there is from the radar in the nose? If there is significant back scatter, row 1 would get more than anyone else.

I'm no physicist -- backscatter would be a problem why?

Hmmm.. never thought about this. I would like to know as well.

In any case, I don't like the row 1 seats - 2A/K or 4A/K for me.
