MPC and Dragonair
I am curious with the takeover of Dragonair what will be the impact on mileage and status with the MPC? Is there any news on this as I cannot seem to find any. For instance:
1. Will/When will KA flights qualify for MPC status? As only oneworld partners now do.
2. Or as planned with Dragonair remaining a seperate operating identity for 6 years will CX codeshare?
3. Will Dragonair become a de facto member of oneworld or an associate along the lines of the the LAN grouping?
Or quite simply are these 'details' that have yet to be thrashed out?
Feedback appreciated.
Thanks.

Some guesses
[QUOTE=Nicc HK]I am curious with the takeover of Dragonair what will be the impact on mileage and status with the MPC? Is there any news on this as I cannot seem to find any. For instance:
Looks like KA is going to maintain it's own identity for a long time.
Wth Chyna Air buying into the deal the whole China Air/CX is going to take a while to sort out. Espeiallywhich alliance Star or One World. Look for CX to start adding CX code share flight numbers to the Dragon flights so the can do the throigh ticketing and keep the $. One this happens we will be able to get the mileage credits we want. They will also meger the Freight Network quickly. Next will be club access. Also look for AA to add a ORD to HKG flight once CX does the HKG to China code shares so AA can feed traffic into China easier.
