Gym/work out at HKG?
I have an eight-hour layover at HKG (and The Wing!) and was thinking it'd be a great time to work out. I've been on the HKG web site but can't find mention of a gym. Anyone know if there are such facilities? Thanks!

Not that I know of in the airport. You best bet would be at the Regal Airport hotel - I'm not sure if they offer access to the fitness centre only. It is open 06:00-23:00; you could call them on +852 2286 6266 and ask I guess.
They used to offer day rates are about HK$100 per hour with a minimum of 6 hours if I recall correctly, but I don't immediately see that on their website now. http://www.regalairport.com

i recall seeing an ad just outside the Traveller's Lounge (far end of airport) which mentioned gym facilities. couldn't find any mention of a gym though on their website http://www.plaza-ppl.com/hk_en/lounge.php. maybe someone else can give more definitive info on this.

HKG has several California Fitness Clubs in town. If I want to work out, I would go to the one in Tsim Sha Tsui. Hop on Airport Express, get off at Kowloon and take a cab or a free shuttle. It's near the Peninsula hotel. The cost for a walk-in guest is about 20 USD.
