Question E Ticket questions

Hello,

Husband and I both travelling to HKG but on different dates, first time we have had to use an E ticket.Am a bit worried as all my travel agent has issued me with is an intinerary with the E ticket number on it.Will this be acceptable when we check in?

Also,it states on cathay's website we will need to bring the same credit card that was used to pay for the flights. This was paid with a C/C in my name,so as we are both travelling on different dates,my husband obviously wont have that credit card,is there anyway to get around that?

Any help would be appreciated! Thanks :-)

ONLY IF YOU HAVE PURCHASED THE TICKET thru the website: You have to write a letter of authority with photocopy of your creditcard used to say that you bought the ticket for your husband on this creditcard.

But as you purchased the ticket through your TA, you do not need to do the above. The TA would have accepted all responsibility for checking out creditcard authorisation details. The e-ticket itin is all you need.

That said, the once I flew on a CathayUSA.com e-ticket (back when they used ITN as the booking engine), I was not asked for the CC# at either the SFO, HKG, or BKK check-ins. We'll see if that changes now that they're on a new booking engine.

I've been asked for my creditcard at the most unopportune moment.. so better be prepared than never. Like after half the ticket has been used!

I agree with Guy Betsy. They've asked for c/c when I least expected it.
