Curious! Conflicting A/C configuration.

I am planning a JFK-HKG trip in December. On the 'cathaypacific.com' site, the A/C listed is the A346. However, on 'cathayusa.com' site, the seatmap provided is that of the 744. The flight in question is CX889 (JFK-YVR-HKG) on 12/13/05. Can you CX pundits shed some light for me? I personally hope that it is the 744 (it's the upstairs vs downstairs thing). Thank you.

It's a 744 per CX's system

But I just booked an award seat for June '06 and it's showing A346 again.
