My TA is definitely very dodgy. Another reason why I am triple checking everything. As for paper ticket, I did not ask for it. The TA made a mistake and gave me paper even though I originally had e-ticket. Since there is a remainder of approx. $25 that I can't explain, maybe Chiangi is right that if I (or my TA) specifically request a paper ticket, then there is a charge. If not, then the $25 went into the TA's pocket.
Chiangi, where do you find the CX North Am. fare rules posted ? Everytime I call CX about fare rules, they just bounce me back to ask my dodgy TA. I wish there is a way to look up the ticket's specific fare rules on the CX site by entering the confirmation number, then everything would be clear. I'm all for paying what the rules said since that's part of the ticket contract, it is the shady non-transparency of this current system where you don't know who is telling the truth that's problematic.
Thanks everyone for your input.

hometoworld,
CX North America normally emails me an itinerary confirmation when I make a reservation with them. The email message has all the conditions written.
I usually ask them to hold the reservation for at least one day before asking them to ticket.
I also have one SFO travel agent sometimes issue CX tickets for me. They don't charge anything at all for all the extras u mentioned. I was a little surprised to read ur posts.
And Guy Betsy is also a great asset.
