My parents have about 20000ish miles each which are not enough to fly and 15000ish each of them are going to expire at the end of this month. Is it possible if they redeem them on a hotel(15000 miles for one night) for me? If it is, will I get a single room or double room?

I have about 36000 miles myself. At first I planned to use 25,000 to fly to Hong Kong(I live in Bangkok) and then buy a package(accommodations and flights) to Guam and Saipan for $400. But I'm not really into such a place so I've been thinking about using my miles to Bali so I can forward to East Timor where I really wanna go. So if I can use my parents' miles on a hotel in Bali, it will be just awesome. I've been to Bali before but I stayed at a **** hole the last time so I didn't really have any good experience. I hope I will this time!
