Advice Needed: HKG-JAX
I need to fly from Hong Kong to Jacksonville and have a few options:
1) HK-NRT-DFW-JAX
2) HK-LAX-DFW-JAX
3) HK-LAX-MIA-JAX
4) HK-SFO-DFW-JAX
5) HK-NRT-ORD-STL-JAX
Anyone done this flight and any recommendation on which one to take or other options?

you will probably get better fare quotes on ua, nw, and co since they can get you to jax on their own metal, but cx requires code-sharing. of these, only ua and co can get you there with a single connection; i prefer ua to co for a variety of reasons.

I'd do option one because the CX/AA connection at Narita is easier than the international/domestic connections in LA/SFO which involve much more walking. Furthermore, US immigration (never fun) is usually less crowded at DFW than at the west coast airports.

Any idea which location has a better lounge?

LAX lounge is far better and much shorter walk TBIT to T4 than at SFO int to AA domestic. But SFO INS/customs can be faster (varies with competing arrivals at SFO and LAX). If flying in Y trans-pacific then you may prefer AA metal, otherwise in F/J CX is more comfortable.

Is HKG-JFK-JAX an option? I think that would be the fastest. With all those transfers, you must be looking at a 24 hours + travel day. If not I'd probably go through DFW as it would be the shortest time I think. The one with MIA and STL both are "dog legs" that basically get you close but are a waste of time. The others might work, though I second the call on LAX kind of sucking.
If you go on AA, see if they have an YUP fares to JAX. YUP is a Y class ticket upgraded to First. Basically, you can fly roundtrip coast to coast (**from select airports**) for only a little more than flying coach (like BWI, EWR, SJC, etc). Might make the trip a little easier.

That would seem like the best way, but unfortunately it's not. There are no direct flights between any NY airports to JAX. The OP would have to connect through MIA or DFW.
