It seems that CX would more likely to adopt a wait-and-see approach to see how well the A380 is performing in other airlines before they make any decisions. As for 'when', I guess it would be sometime later in this decade (2008 or 2009?) when there oldest B744 turns 20 years old.

Last I heard, CX had no plans to take the A380. It had taken a wait-and-see approach (no doubt connected to its SARS-induced financial sniffles) to the A380 and the 747-ADV. Boeing has aggressively courted CX as a potential launch customer for the 747-ADV, which would have an even more stretched upper deck than the -400, longer ranger, greater overall capacity, and better fuel efficiency (or so Boeing claims). CX seems to be waiting-and-seeing about that, too. So far, Boeing has no orders.
